The Algogear™ XVC-1001-UDC Up/Down/Crossconverter provides high quality conversion from SD/HD to SD/HD formats along with all the features of the Algogear™ Frame Sync FRS 1002-MD - offering a new level of integration. This combined technology provides broadcasters with more processing power per card and significantly reduces cost per channel.

It offers the most advanced de-interlacing available with directional content adaptive scaling and adaptive detail enhancement for superior conversion quality. Its powerful ARC (Aspect Ratio Conversion) supports a large number of preset and customizable settings so you can deliver the best possible video quality. For more efficiency, it also supports Active Format Descriptor (AFD) signalling for automatic management of aspect ratio. The XVC 1001-UDC is designed to convert the incoming video input to the user selected format and re-time it to the reference. When necessary, frames are repeated or dropped to maintain synchronization while PCM audio is resampled to preserve its original quality.

It offers a separate control to delay all 16 channels of embedded audio independently from the video delay. PCM data is mapped to the selected output format. Closed caption and time code information can be transported from input to output with all necessary translation to the selected output format.
