The Algogear XVC-1001-UC Upconverter provides high quality conversion from SD (SMPTE 259M-C) video formats such as 480i/59.94 and 576i/50 to HD (SMPTE 292M) video formats such as 720p/50, 720p/59.94, 1080i/50, and 1080i/59.94. It offers advanced de-interlacing, directional content adaptive scaling and adaptive detail enhancement for superior conversion quality. Standard and custom aspect ratio conversion and SD to HD colour space conversion are also supported. It supports minimum or variable delay of the video output relative to the reference input.
The XVC-1001-UC can automatically delay all 16 channels (4 groups) of embedded audio to compensate for the video delay. PCM and non-PCM data are mapped to the HD output. Closed caption and time code information can be transported from input to output with all necessary SD to HD translation and time code recalculations.
The XVC-1001-UC-BF-SA provides background fill capabilities, allowing side panels introduced by upconversion to be filled with video or graphics. It also allows pre-set and user-adjustable safe area generation.
