The Algogear Color Temperature Converter, part of the Algogear line of Signal Processing solutions, is the most cost-effective way today for newsrooms to control the color temperature of TV screens and computer monitors to allow proper color calibration and help ensure accurate display of colors to the viewing audience during live broadcasts. No other solution available on the market today is as cost effective.
Newsroom cameras, which are calibrated according the environment of the newsroom, shoot both the foreground (e.g., a host/news anchor) and the background which usually consists of many TV’s and/or monitors. In such cases, the color of foreground usually looks accurate in the television audience’s home. However, many audiences may find serious color distortions in the TVs and monitors being filmed. The TV/monitor colors often look extremely bluish which is caused by the disparity between the color temperatures of the background TV’s and the studio lighting.
With the number of TV screens and monitors used in Newsrooms today, broadcasters need a cost effective solution that will allow them to display TV and monitor colors properly during live broadcasts. Without proper color conversion, the colors on the TV screen will appear incorrect to the viewing audience.
The Algogear Color Temperature Converter, CTC-1004-MD converts colors such that when they appear on air, the colors appear as they were originally intended. CTC-1004-MD offers broadcasters significant cost savings with a high density, 4 channel per card solution to color correction for shooting within Newsrooms.
