MNR Mosquito Noise Reducer
MNR is a highly effective technique for post-processing Discreet Cosine Transfer (DCT) compressed images utilizing both temporal recursive noise reduction and mosquito noise reduction. Designed to isolate artifacts while maintaining the integrity of the detail in the image, MNR is ideal for post-processing compressed images, such as terrestrial and satellite feeds, large screen displays, as a pre-processor before an MPEG encoder, as a post-processor after an MPEG decoder, or to remove noise in any multi-generational encoded or decoded signal.
DNR Dynamic Noise Reducer
DNR is both a temporal and spatial Gaussian, and RF type noise reducer which utilizes a new concept of cost-effective motion compensation,. The spatial noise reducer uses a Robust Shape Adaptive Window for noise filtering without blurring of edges.
BAR Block Artifact Reducer
An automatic block border and artifact detection method which eliminates the need for metadata from the decoder, BAR extracts regional and directional information from a decoded image and adaptively smoothes out block structures within the image. BAR is ideal for low bit-rate applications or to alleviate blocking artifacts in DCT block-based codecs (such as MPEG-2 or MPEG-4) commonly used in multimedia applications and home theatre environments.
ADE Adaptive Detail Enhancer
ADE technology utilizes an innovative, user-controllable edge enhancement algorithm to isolate areas of the image where hard edges are prevalent and increase fine details without adding halos or ringing.
